"What Ails You?" are classes designed with you in mind!

You have questions, we have answers. You are not alone!

These classes were birthed out of the need I felt to help people connect the dots between modern medicine and natural at home remedies. Neither one is better than the other. They both have their time and place. Teas with purpose provide options for natural at home remedies not to dismiss cutting edge advances but to promote complimentary medicine. Complementary medicine is what most of us are looking for. It’s the best of both worlds – the cutting-edge advances of modern medicine combined with natural at home treatments. One of our goals is to unify the minds of the medical professional and students of herbalism so that we as customers and patients feel safe in the hands of both. Let’s except the fact that God created herbs and doctors so that we could live longer healthier lives.

Our classes take a deep dive into the 5 chronic illnesses - heart disease, respiratory, cancer, diabetes and HIV. We talk about their origin, what remedies were used, investigate current medications & research their plant counterparts along with provide additional ways to provide relief and comfort.

These classes serve 3 purposes!

ONE - Just because it runs in your family doesn't mean it has to run in you too! There are measures that you can implement to do your best in preventing illness from taking root BUT  first you must understand what you are dealing with. As my husband says, knowing is half the battle. So the first thing we do in our classes is look at the history of the illness, how it typically behaves, what remedies were used in the golden years and the steps you can take now to prevent it. Education is key to preventing our future generations from having these same issues.

TWO - Now that we understand the illness, if you have it or if you know someone who has it, how can you minimize it? We will discuss current medications and look at their plant counterparts so that you can fully understand what  you are taking and what it is doing inside your body.

THREE - Having a chronic illness means you have to look at all aspects of your health - mental, emotional, physical & financial. We will look at how stress affect this illness? How does food affect it? How much rest does your body need? What are additional options for healing? And more!
